Alchemy Uluwatu

+ The atmosphere is wonderful
Delicious coffee.
- The food is bland, the soy meat was burnt this time. I also felt sick after breakfast, and this isn't the first time after alchemy;
The waiters are inattentive; we asked for a medium coffee, but they brought us a small one.

I wish I could give the restaurant a 5 star based on the atmosphere only. The papaya slaw didn't taste right. Heck it tasted like stomach acid (read vomit). I spent the whole evening going to the bathroom 5 times, and I'm Indonesian (used to the bacteria here). So something is definitely not right with the papaya slaw. Everything else tasted okay but blended into the same theme of roasted this and stir-fried that.

I went here for breakfast today and got a terrible case of food poisoning. I usually have a very mild stomach and have never had any problems at any of the warungs (small, family-run restaurants) in Bali.

I had the banana pancakes and the red latte, but I can't say for sure which one caused it.

Otherwise, the place is nicely decorated, but overpriced and, in my opinion, too focused on influencers.
