Amok Sunset Restaurant & Bar

Drinks where good and the view is amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, the food was a big disappointment and to top it off, we got food poisoning. Been trying to recover for 3 days now and had to reschedule our flight back because of this.<br><br>Still recommend to go here, but only order drinks and NOT food.

The scenery is magnificent, no complaints there. But as for the food, I don't know what it's like... well, actually, I do... An hour after leaving the restaurant, I was extremely sick all night, and my boyfriend was the same... and I just read that this happened to many other people who also ate there. Coincidence? I don't think so, it's a matter of hygiene! I can already anticipate their responses, which I've read: "No, I didn't drink the tap water," "No, I don't use tap water to brush my teeth!" I'm used to traveling; I know what to look out for. If you'd never have known before... therefore, I absolutely do not recommend it unless you want to ruin two days of your trip vomiting and other unpleasant symptoms.

- Friendly welcome<br>- Food poisoning!! I ordered a juice and a pizza margherita. I asked if the ice cubes were made from bottled water or tap water. The answer was tap water, which is why I chose to have my lime juice without ice. The drink visibly consisted of squeezed lime and water.<br><br>A few hours later, I became nauseous and had to vomit and have diarrhea continuously. So, they not only made the ice from tap water but clearly do not use bottled water for the juice itself either.<br><br>- Furthermore, the pool on the right side was unkempt. It was FULL of dead insects. On the left side is the pool with a view of the sunset. This one was clean.<br><br>I expect more from such a "trendy" place. Here, you should feel safe ordering anything from the menu without getting sick. Especially considering the prices they charge. We only ate breakfast that day at our accommodation where we had already stayed for a few nights, so this is 100% certain of this establishment.
