Kisik Seafood Bar and Grill

Leaving Rimba by Ayana tonight and was very happy with everything, food was great, staff was good, room and facilities are worth the price. Was about to leave a great review but final dinner ruined it all. We booked a table at Kisik restaurant with my girlfriend and were very excited since reviews are generally amazing (which now I think are totally fake). It's our last night so mood was on point and we were looking forward to enjoy one of the best seafood places in Bali (as they say). But what a waste of time, money and mood it was! We ordered fresh (as they say) seafood from the counter: oysters, muscles, lobster, mix skewer of grilled fish with vegetables and jumbo shrimp. All the food came fast and together so we didn't get a chance to enjoy it warm because we were still eating oysters at the time all the warm dishes arrived. Plates were not changed until we asked for it although we came at 5 pm and were one of the few early dining tables. The day before we dined in Jimbaran beach area next to the market and ordered same items 4 times cheaper but my girl was cranky it wasn't as sophisticated as she wanted. Little did she know that Kisik that we were so much looking forward to, was not only less sophisticated but simply tasted worse. Dull, overcooked and even weirdly smelling. But the reason I'm writing this review is that 30 minutes after food I felt nauseous and went to bathroom were I threw up. My girl was nervous and asked our waiter how fresh the food was, the waiter said we never had problems and wasn't even hardly trying to help. When he came out of the bathroom another waiter saw his green face and ordered water (thank you!) what more can I say... mood is ruined, whole vacation has a bad taste in my mouth and Kisik is a total waste of health/time/money. Avoid at all times.

(prryu jweolrr gHmanhum jueu1) The view is really as pretty as I thought. I saw on a blog that sunset was at 5:30, so I made a reservation then. It was so hot and sunny, I thought I was going to die, and the staff came over. They said the sun would set at 7:00 because December and January are particularly long. I waited in the shade for an hour after finishing my food before taking this picture. It was so hot I couldn't tell if the food was burning or if I was still eating. But the view was beautiful and fantastic. Our table was number 5, which seemed to be the best. Even though I wasn't a guest at Ayana, I asked for number 5 when I made the reservation, and they did. The staff were so friendly. It was so hot that I ate a heatstroke. I got a fever and vomited on the way up the stairs, but they called a buggy to take me back to the lobby. They even asked if I could call a doctor. They were so kind and helpful. And the Ayana Resort has amazing facilities.<br>(I'm so tired of the heat. I'm so tired of the heat. I can't even eat. I'm so tired of the heat. It's amazing. Even if you leave it alone, it's still hot and humid. What can I do? What happened? It's because the heat isn't strong and the heat isn't strong. It's like a hot tub. It's a huge hot tub. The view is pretty. ^^) It's so hot that I feel like throwing up. Please keep in mind that if it's too hot, you might vomit. Please rest in the shade before eating.

The prices were extremely high, and the menu selection was limited, mostly featuring seafood sold by weight. As shown in the picture, the meal for three people cost over 3,000 NTD, but the portions were actually quite small. Each person was provided with a salad, soup, and white rice. We mostly filled up with the rice. The atmosphere at night was nice, but the service was so-so, and the food wasn't particularly amazing. After eating, I felt very unwell back at the hotel; my stomach was bloated and I felt generally unwell. I rushed back to my room to rest, and at one point I had difficulty breathing. I ended up vomiting up my entire dinner and had a lot of black, watery stool. I felt better after taking the stomach medicine I brought. When I complained to the hotel, they said no other guests had reported this, only blaming it on my stomach upset. They seemed only interested in disclaiming responsibility. The hotel's crisis management was problematic. It took a very long time for housekeeping to arrive to clean up the vomit. If you get sick at a hotel, you're basically on your own.
