Stay away!<br><br>We both got food poisoning after visiting Mambo Restaurant (despite ordering different dishes).<br><br>It's worth noting that the service is friendly, the appetizer arrives immediately, and the main course follows 5 minutes later. One has to wonder how fresh the food is if it can be served so quickly? (And then you get sick).<br><br>The ambiance is great.<br><br>+++++++++<br>Answer 8/29/23<br><br>Hello Mambo Beach Restaurant. We both ate the gado-gado salad. This was the only raw food we ate in the last few days. Since our illness only lasted 24 hours and occurred the night after our visit to your restaurant, we think it was the salad. We also had two different burgers. This is my response to your comment. Ok so, this is an incredibly cool and chill restaurant, it has great atmosphere. Me and my girlfriend went 5 days ago, because they have such good reviews and we both ordered fish, she got the fish and chips (white fish) and I got the "grilled Gindara" ( white fish). I was actually recommended this item by the manager so I trusted him. We got the food and ate and it was pretty good and even stayed later for drinks and live music. A day later I got incredibly sick, like worst Ive ever been in Bali or Nusa Penida. Turns out they don't check their fish!!! Oilfish are caught in Indonesia and sold as other edible fish which is illegal in places that have actual regulations like Thailand. My Girlfriend got sick a day later from her mystery fish. We have been sick for the last 4 days excreting indigestible wax esters which is as bad as it sounds, most uncomfortable sleeping experiences for the past 4 nights. I would love a response on this by the restaurant because I don't understand why I would get recommended and told I was eating a fish when I was eating a toxic mystery fish. Do not get the white fish from this place I bet everything else is great!

The views and atmosphere are really beautiful, but the food is terrible. The burgers are awful, and the smoothie is tiny--way too small for the price. I think it's a lot to pay almost 50k for such a small smoothie. If you do come, go for the views, not the food. Just get something simple and don't waste your money.<br>P.S. (My girlfriend got food poisoning from the burger.)
