Warung Bejana Uluwatu

The restaurant boasts a modern feel, right outside the Uluwatu Temple. The four of us ordered two hamburgers and, nostalgic for Italy (and terrified by the Bali Belly we just finished), two Margherita pizzas.<br><br>Unfortunately, the food was poor: tasteless burgers with flatbread that didn't hold its texture (totally unsuitable for a hamburger). Not to mention the pizzas: we were fooled by some positive reviews from Italian users, who boasted about their deliciousness, even claiming they were better than some pizzas we'd eaten in Italy. While decently presented, they were completely tasteless, except for a latent and inappropriate aftertaste of coconut oil.<br>Help!<br><br>It probably would have been better to order traditional food directly.<br><br>Final note: the price was too high by Balinese standards, 750k total for the four of us!

Tourist trap. Told our driver we want to go to a local Warung near the Garuda Vishnu Park and he made the long (heavy traffic drive) here for us to have lunch, and the elderly got sick and tired.<br><br>Limited local options, Nice presentation of food but the taste is just so so. Definitely overpriced since they are conveniently located near Uluwatu Temple...

We've been there a few times, and the first time we loved it. The chicken satay was delicious. The second time, we had the satay and a pesto salad. The salad was a complete failure. Severe food poisoning, and this happened right on the day of departure. We had to desperately try to recover and then endure a painful journey back to Russia. If you don't want to play Russian roulette with your intestines, I don't recommend it.
