Bendega

I truly hoped that, with such a grand building, Bendega Jimbaran would deliver exceptional quality. But it fell far short of expectations. We ordered Ayam Betutu, Flying Gouramy, Ayam Jejeruk, and Crispy Water Spinach.<br>1. The Ayam Betutu was served on a street food-like plate, with what we call "poor" plating, and a stark contrast to the displayed photo. You can see the difference in the photo. The taste is not the same as Betutu.<br>2. The Flying Gouramy in the photo is just gourami, but it comes with chili sauce, so when I order, I have to add chili sauce for an additional charge. They should have stated that it includes chili sauce so I didn't have to order more.<br>3. The Crispy Water Spinach was an additional order. I ordered it early, and 5 minutes after I finished ordering, it arrived after all the food was gone. It was a lot. And it seems the chef needs to learn from street food, because theirs is tastier. The crispy water spinach was very oily and had no flavor, making me feel nauseous. It even seemed like there was no salt, so I had to ask for special salt. It's truly disappointing for a place like Bendega.<br>4. Sitting inside, it's very difficult to have a conversation because it's so noisy, especially when making shaved ice and blending. Too noisy <br>Honestly, I won't be coming back and I wouldn't recommend it.
