Pala Restaurant & Rooftop Bar

We went for Sunday brunch for second time to celebrate my mom birthday. All was fine until next day when we were all sick from food poisoning. I have never been this sick nor anyone else in their lives from food. Maybe was the lobster. We have contacted restaurant and after they reply to us and invite us again. After this we go again for brunch and was all fine. It must have been something with sea food we all eat, they told us they will analyse this and removed lobsters so it doesn't repeat until.

The worst service in Bali. I'm now worried about food poisoning, since the storage is substandard.<br>So:<br>1. I ordered butter chicken, the menu called for naan with it, and I asked for rice separately. They didn't bring the naan, and when I asked why, the waiter started saying, "But you have rice." We showed him the menu and explained that he was supposed to have naan. He was still confused as to why we wanted both rice and naan. Instead of simply saying, "I'll bring it right away."<br>Another girl resolved the conflict.<br>2. They brought the Aperol watered down; you couldn't taste the alcohol, and neither could you taste the soda. It was definitely water. A girl came over and replaced the cocktail, and it got better.<br>3. I ordered two shots of vodka, and they came HOT. I asked for a replacement, and they brought the vodka watered down!!! My girlfriend went to the bar and asked to see the vodka--the bottle was hot. Which doesn't comply with storage regulations. I read that alcohol shouldn't be stored in direct sunlight, and now I'm afraid of poisoning.<br>Just imagine, I had to argue and ask for exchanges for every dish and drink the entire evening. The bill came to 1,800,000 rupees.<br>Dinner at this place ruined the wonderful atmosphere I'd had at the hotel.<br>The restaurant made no attempt to make amends for the ruined evening. Only the receptionist ran around apologizing for the waiters and bartenders. That at least smoothed things over a bit, as the rest of the staff couldn't care less. I repeat, I haven't experienced such disgusting treatment anywhere in Bali during my entire two months of travel.

We were excited to try this place and the Indian food here. We ordered the lamb biryani, butter chicken and papdi chat. Sad to say that my wife and I both ended up getting food poisoning a few hours after eating here. Wasn't the best ending to our trip to Kempinski and Bali.
